So today we took the bus to Skema, a prestigous business school in France where we had our HTM class that was taught by Pierre and two guest lecturers. To my surprise, one of the guest speakers, who is also the dean of the marketing shool at Skema and the President of the Hospitality and Tourism Association in France, invited me to come to his house in Grasse on Sunday for dinner. Not quite sure why he decided to ask me, but i'm really excited about it! It will be nice to have someone I know in France when I'm here by myself for the rest of the summer.
After all of our lectures were over we went to the cafeteria where we ate like the French students do. It made me very appreciative of the food I get at Virginia Tech! After we were done at Skema we caught the bus back to Antibes and laid by the pool for a few hours. We then went to dinner at a great restuarant where we had a nice leisurely meal outside. I'm used to being served a bread basket in America when waiting on my meal, but at this place our waiter brought out a bowl of olives and peanuts. After we finished our meal (mine was mushroom ravioli) our precious waiter brought us all out a shot of "the resuarants very own recipe" which was hot and tasted somewhat like apple juice and whiskey. Later we just walked around town, shopped, and got some gelato (yum)! Tomorrow I'm sure I'll have more to write about tomorrow.... we're touring the city of perfume! Until then, au revoir!
already making it big in france, get it!
