My long trip to France

I left  my house yesterday morning (Monday) at 10 a.m. got on my plane in Dulles at 8:45, landed in London at around 10 a.m., caught another plane to Nice, France, caught a bus, and here I am in my cozy little apratment in Antibes, France...its 11:00 p.m. Needless to say, I'm a little bit tired so I apologize if any of this doesn't make any sense...i'm a bit on the dellusional side. So after saying goodbye to my parents in Dulles, I eventually boarded the plane where I got all settled in my seat, picked out a movie to watch during the flight, and got all cozy under my blanket. This flight was going to be smoothe sailing...or so I thought. Only a few minutes after we had taken off, I was abruptly knocked out of my happy place when a women in front of me slammed her son's seat back into my lap. After deciding I simply could not sit with a huge airplane seat in my lap for my 7 hour flight, I politely tapped the women in front of me and asked her if she minded putting her son's seat up just a bit because I didn't have any room. "No, he's asleep," was all she said. "Yes, I completely understand, I just don't have any room back here at all so if you could just move it up a little bit that would be great." Then papa bear who was sitting two seats down from me chimes in, "He's six years old, he has to sleep. What the hell do you expect?" The mother was also trying to say something to me so I decided this was just a lost cause, ignored them all and sat back in my seat." I would like to think of myself as a very polite flier. I never ever lay my seat back because it is probably one of my biggest pet peeves on a plane. I'm also a big fan of personal space and therefore don't like to intrude on anyone else's. I sat back, turned my movie on and tried to ignore the pain I was feeling in my legs from them cramping up. The next thing I know I hear someone yelling. I look up and the women in front of me is saying something to me with a not-so-pleasant look on her face. I take off my earphones and then hear her repeat, "What is your problem? Who do you think you are that you can kick my son? He's trying to sleep, what the hell is your problem?" The dad then gets involved and I find myself in the middle of a firestorm of two very angry French parents. After trying to defend myself for the next minute by saying that "I was sorry, I would never intentionally kick your son's seat"....who, by the way, was still fast asleep, I gave up once again, and put back on my headphones to let them know I was done, and continued with my movie. Suddenly she slammed her seat as far back as it would go into poor Catherine, who was sitting beside me. I just hoped that when I got to France the people would like me a little more than those two. Luckily the flight from London to Nice was much better (probably because I fell asleep before the plane even took off), and it was pretty much smoothe sailing from there on out. For some reaosn I can't get the pictures to upload right now, and I have to be up in 8 hours so I'll be posting those tomorrow!
